birthday invitations are of many types and they are age wise birthday, first birthday, birthday after 50 crosses, etc. It depends on people whether they want to celebrate the birthday or not. People who are teenagers are mostly interested to celebrate their birthday as they will get some gifts from their loved ones. You can celebrate your birthday in many ways by calling all your friends and blowing out the candles or going outside with your friends and enjoying a dance party. It is your wish how you need to celebrate it.

Inviting Concepts provides a collection of cards related to birthdays. If you are selecting a gift for your friend’s birthday then, you can choose a card related to the gender also. There are different types of invitation cards like boy birthday card and girl birthday invitation, etc.

1st birthday invitations are the first choice for all those parents who are happy to have their kid to be one year old. Parents invite all their family members and friends in their son or daughter’s 1st birthday. This birthday is celebrated in a big way with right decoration and number of guests attending the party depends on the number of invites that you send out or invite.

What is Kitchen Tea Party?

April 25th, 2012

I am also curious what to do in a Kitchen Tea party and when it is being celebrated so I searched for it online.

Here’s an article about Kitchen tea party that you might be interested in reading.

The Kitchen Tea is the traditional function held for the lucky lady who is to be married. Most would call her “The Bride”. The bride will be the special guest of honor for this event.

Guests attend the kitchen tea wanting to make it a momentous occasion for the bride. Theywant to see the bride opening presents or answering questions. So make sure that her seat is in the centre or have flashing arrows pointing towards her.

Kitchen Teas in the traditional sense have become as stale as only stale bread can be.  Meaning that the gifts might not include as many kitchenware as in previous years. Although for younger brides, this is recommended as this might be the first time she will be running her own household.

As trends tend to go, the average age of brides have increased. Brides are more financially independent and might have been living on her own or running a household already. This means that their need for pots and pans have become absolute.

Wedding Planning Tips

April 24th, 2012

Still wanting to read more wedding planning tips?

Here’s one good wedding planning tips from myinspiredwedding.com

Hope this will help you when you are planning for your wedding!

These days we’re all at our computers all the time, and the internet is where we reach for our information (you’re doing it right now!). It follows then that having a website dedicated to your big day is a good idea. Getting all the right information out to your guests can be a big job, and your invitations aren’t always the best place for some important things, such as your registry. Taking a few minutes now to create a wedding website that is a useful information source for your guests will save you time and headaches later.

Do You Really Need One?

Figuring out whether you really need a wedding website is as easy as looking at your guest list. If you have a large list comprised of people you know are avid computer users (they use them at work and for entertainment purposes, such as surfing Facebook), or you have a large number of out-of-town guests, a wedding website is not only a good idea, it’s practically essential. If you are having a very small wedding (30 people or less), you likely don’t need one, but they’re fun and a great way for your guests to interact with you regardless of the size of your wedding.

The Costs

There are tons of free wedding website services, but there are lots of paid services, too. The paid services range from $40 to $80, but if you’re looking for a custom design it could range in the thousands depending on what you’re looking for. Unpaid or low-cost services allow you to pick from a variety of templates and customize them as needed, so your wedding website won’t look like a cookie-cutter version of everyone else’s. With some services you can even get your own URL.

Setting It Up

Assuming that you’re selecting from a low-cost or unpaid service, all you need to do is sign up, collect the information and photos you want on your wedding website and you’re all set to start.

What Should Be There

It’s up to you how much or how little information you put on your wedding website, but here’s a few things that are often found there:

  • The Bride and Groom’s names (obviously!)
  • Your wedding date
  • Your wedding details (time, location of ceremony, location of reception if different)
  • Directions to your church / ceremony location / reception location
  • Your parents names
  • Your wedding party
  • Your engagement story (and a photo, too! Who doesn’t like to look at the happy couple?!)
  • Your wedding dress code
  • Your registry information
  • Anything else you think is essential for your guests to know

Using Facebook for Your Wedding Website

The other option available to Brides and Grooms today is Facebook. With the creation of Timeline, Facebook has become a unique and powerful way to create a no-fuss, no-muss wedding website. Create a page for an “Artist, Band or Public Figure” and select “Business Person” or “Public Figure” from the list. Add a beautiful cover photo of you and your beloved and you’re on your way. Use the backdating and milestone features in Timeline to add things like your first date, your first kiss, the date of your engagement and any other fun details you’d like to share with your guests. This wedding website option also allows you to interact with your guests in a special way. With “likes”, “shares”, poll options and photo sharing, your guests can truly participate in every aspect of your day as you plan.

10 Tips in Finding the Best Wedding Planner

April 13th, 2012

For those who are planning for their wedding and hiring wedding planners to organize your most special day, here are 10 tips (I got from an article) on how to find the best wedding planner!

Talk Budget

For most couples, budget is a big consideration when they are choosing venues, vendors and other wedding details. Budget also plays a role in the number of guests and the time of day a wedding will take place. Couples should talk about their budget the first time they meet with their wedding planner and make sure that the planner understands budget constraints as well as which aspects of the wedding the bride and groom want the most money to be spent on. A wedding planner should be honest with the couple about what they can expect to get for the amount of money in their budget.

Make Sure They Share Your Vision

Couples should choose a wedding planner that allows them to make most of the choices about their wedding a doesn’t interject their own opinions without being asked. Wedding planners are usually passionate about weddings and may forget that the wedding they are planning is not their own and the wedding should be planned around the wants and needs of the bride and groom, rather than the latest fads from Hollywood or the design that the wedding planner would like to create.

Pay Attention to Organization

It is essential that a wedding planner is efficient and organized so they have no trouble keeping track of the details of the wedding. Couples hire a wedding planner to help them keep things organized and meet deadlines so that everything comes together in the end. A wedding planner that is disorganized usually becomes more of a hassle than a help during the process of planning the wedding.

Make Sure They are Easy to Contact

It doesn’t do any good to hire the best wedding planner in the world if you are unable to contact them about details of your wedding or get in touch with them if an emergency arises. If you have to leave a message for the wedding planner and wait more than 24 hours for them to return your call or if they cancel meetings you had set up with vendors they are probably not reliable enough to be a good wedding planner.

Ask Others

If you know anyone who has used a wedding planner it is a good idea to ask them why they chose the planner they did and if they were happy with the results. Most couples are happy to share their experiences.

Talk About Pay Upfront

Wedding planners and the couples they work for should come to an agreement about how the planner will be paid before they perform any work. Some planners charge a flat fee for their services throughout the wedding planning process, while others charge couples a percentage of the total wedding budget. Couples may be wary of overpaying for wedding planning services, but a good wedding planner can actually help the couple save more than they are spending.

Research

It is a good idea to research the general services and rates offered by wedding planners in the area of the country you would like to get married. It is not essential that the wedding planner be located in the same city as your wedding venue, but a drive of more than an hour can be very inconvenient. The venue where you plan to hold the wedding or reception probably has a list of wedding planners they have worked with in the past. This list is an excellent place to start researching wedding planners.

Note Concerns

Before you meet with a wedding planner it is a good idea to make notes about your biggest concerns when it comes to your wedding. Number of guests, budget constraints and time constraints are often top concerns for brides and grooms.

Outline

Making an outline of what you expect as far as the wedding planning timeline and order of events at the wedding is very helpful for a wedding planner. A good wedding planner should tell you immediately if they feel your timeline will not work and help you create a more realistic one. A planner that doesn’t appreciate you making a timeline and outlining the sequence of events at your wedding is probably not the best wedding planner for you.

Check Their Website

Some wedding planners are versatile, while others have a specific wedding planning style. A wedding planner whose style is very different from the style you want for your wedding is probably not the best choice.

Making everything work with a theme when Planning a wedding

April 12th, 2012

“Making everything work with a theme when Planning a wedding”

To make your wedding planning simple and organize, you should always plan first your wedding theme then everything else will follow from the decoration to wedding invitations down to wedding favors.

It is easier to plan for your wedding when you already have a guide. Your wedding theme will be your guide when you prepare for your gown, decoration,  the place, and everything that is necessary.

Of course the second to consider is your budget. You should know your budget for your wedding! Isn’t that already a common sense? :)

The number of the guests that will be attending your special event is also important. Take note how many guests you will be inviting because its important when you select the venue of the reception and also the wedding hall if you are not planning to celebrate it in the church.

Express Yourself with Wedding Favors

April 9th, 2012

You can express yourself in your wedding favors.

Just for example, if you love card games then you can use this wedding favor.

Tips for planning a destination wedding

April 4th, 2012

Are you planning for a wedding outside your hometown?

You might consider these advises that I got from an article.

“Ensure that anything that you must have, a.k.a. your wedding dress, comes with you on the plane and don’t check any luggage you can’t live without,” Robin Shanks said.

“If you’re away for a week, your wedding shouldn’t take up more than two or three of those days, people have spent a lot of money to be there, so they should be allowed to sort of do their own thing and not feel pressure to constantly be celebrating you and your wedding,” Shanks added.
