When guests come all the way to your destination wedding it’s a nice have a little gift waiting for them so they feel appreciated and know you’re thinking of them. These wedding gift bags can be as simple or elaborate as you want and as your budget allows. Basically it’s just a small collection of items they may have forgotten to pack as well as some information about the area, things to do and a favor of sorts.
Everyone appreciates having an idea of how to get around a new place. Put a map or two in the bag so guests can find their way from one location to another. Mark where the wedding ceremony/reception will take place and any other key locations they should be aware of.
Many destination weddings have a series of events besides the wedding, these include the rehearsal dinner, morning after breakfast and any bachelorette or bachelor parties and showers that may take place. Make a complete list of events, times, locations and a phone number that guests can call in case they get lost or have questions.
Include flyers, tickets, coupons and information on various local attractions, tours, amusements and points of interest. Suggest things that are fun and you believe might interest your guests as they may be spending several days at the location.
Often someone forget a toothbrush, lotion, razor or other simple toiletry. Include a few travel sized products to make sure guests have everything they need for their stay. It’s just a sweet way of showing you care about them and want things to go well during their stay.
Include something that shows off the local environment or culture. If it’s a beach wedding give them a beach towel, sunscreen, or a hat. If it’s in the mountains put some mittens and hot cocoa in the bag. Be creative and have fun with your favor of choice.
