Co-ed Shower Games

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

Co-ed wedding showers are becoming increasingly popular as some grooms are wanting to be more involved in the wedding process and experience. A traditional part of every shower are the games but when you have both men and women you need to change the types of games played so everyone can participate, have fun and get a few good laughs in. These are some great ideas for co-ed shower games.

The “Almost” Newlywed Game
Bring the classic game show to the party. Ask the bride and groom questions separately then have the other half come out and ask them what they think their partner said. You’ll be sure to get some funny response that will have everyone rolling with laughter as well as other unexpected moments, some sweet, some shocking. You never know what will come out of their mouths.

Which is the groom?
Blindfold the bride and have the groom along with five or so other guys all line up. Ask her to feel a specific part of each man’s body whether it be his belly, his butt, his lips, his ears or otherwise and figure out which one is her groom. It’s funny watching her stumble about trying to determine who is who and will be sure to bring on the giggles.

Who wears the pants?
Figure out who wears the pants in the family. Have the bride and groom unroll toilet paper around themselves to make a pair of pants. The first person to completely unravel the roll and make a pair of pants out of it wins and is declared the one to “wear the pants.”

Pop the balloon
Get all the couples involved. Have the men sit on a chair. Give each couple a bucket of balloons. Make sure everyone has the same number of balloons. Once you say “go” they have to try to pop the balloons with their partner without using their hands. This may involve sitting on the balloons, pressing their bodies together to make it explode, whatever they come up with. It’s a whole lot of fun to watch and one you definitely should take photos of.
